Sources, not just stories.

Each place has its own sources. We use operator and tourism information for practical context, and label local folklore separately from documented history.

Photographs were resized, compressed, and cropped for display. Images licensed under CC BY-SA retain their stated licences after adaptation. Four entries use explicitly labelled AI-generated concept illustrations. Archival photographs show the place at the stated date.

Design references

These resources informed broad principles. Their layouts, branding, copy, and imagery were not reused.
